The second phase of a park on the north side of the Sanjiao Lake in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) will be completed and opened before Oct 1, providing residents with more options for leisure, according to local media reports.
The park is located in the green space between North Sanjiaohu Road and Sanjiao Lake, covering an area of about 250,000 square meters.
The park was constructed in two phases. The first phase was completed in December 2018, and the second phase will be completed by the end of September.
The park is divided into northern and southern areas and has three sections: the management service area, the leisure and entertainment area, and the wetland landscape area.
The northern park features recreational spaces such as sunny lawns, with greenways running through them, forming a relaxing and atmospheric green landscape.
'Begonia Square' lies in the southern park, and looks like a blooming Begonia flower if viewed from above. There are some fitness equipment facilities in the square for exercise.
There is a compound greenway in the park, and the original pedestrian overpass has been repaired to form a complete walking and cycling greenway system.
