Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Co has seen progress in its production capacity, achieving co-production on 10 car models, according to local media reports.
Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Co, based in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone, is a car manufacturing joint venture funded by Dongfeng Motor Co and the France-based Groupe PSA.
The company has two brands, Dongfeng Peugeot and Dongfeng Citroen.
While achieving intensive production and further improving capacity utilization, Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Co's Wuhan plant is also shifting to a "flexible production" model, paying more attention to accuracy and timeliness when meeting customer needs.
According to plant officials, for example, at this year's Central China International Auto Show, the company's marketing department reported to the plant that a batch of orders for Dongfeng Peugeot 408 models had been added.
In response to the order, the plant made rapid adjustments to its original production plan, and arranged the production of the ordered models within a week.
To ensure the quality of the cars produced, the production process of the plant was adjusted. In the face of the new job placement and job content, the Wuhan plant formulated special training sessions for employees.
In addition, the plant also focuses on improving the quality management of the whole process to ensure the delivery of qualified products.
