The four fever clinics in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, Hubei province, have adopted closed-loop management around the clock, strengthening their epidemic prevention and control measures.
Since the end of June this year, the four fever clinics in the zone - which are set up at Wuhan Union Hospital West Campus, Wuhan Asia General Hospital and Hannan Renmin Hospital, and which received a total of 2,009 patients - have recorded no confirmed case or asymptomatic infection of COVID-19.
In order to cope with any further break-outs that may occur in autumn or winter, the WHDZ has upgraded the overall layout of the hospitals and primary medical and health institutions located in the zone, including Wuhan Union Hospital West Campus, Wuhan Asia General Hospital, and Hannan Renmin Hospital.
The upgrades also include improvements to outpatient and emergency departments (including fever clinics), observation rooms, admission wards and PCR laboratories.
Currently, the fever clinics of Hannan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital and Wuhan Union Hospital West Campus have been renovated. The fever clinics of Wuhan Asia General Hospital and Hannan Renmin Hospital are expected to be completed before the end of September.
