10 enterprises settle in WHDZ’s AI science park

Some 10 enterprises, including SPIC Wuhan Green Power Hydrogen Energy Technology Co and Torch Incubator, have settled in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Science Park in the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ), according to local media reports.

The park, located on Dongfeng Avenue in the WHDZ, went into official operation on Aug 20, with 13 enterprises already settled there.

It covers an area of some 200 mu (13.33 hectares), and was built with a total investment of 2 billion yuan (289 million) over a building area of 260,000 square meters. It aims to develop itself into a high-tech park focusing on AI, big data and cloud computing technology.

The park is divided into major groups according to function. These include the autonomous and controllable information creation group, the AI group, and the big data group.

So far, the four R&D buildings in the park's AI group have been completed and gone into operation. The four R&D buildings in the park's big data group are almost complete.
