Auto manufacturer Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co has made progress in its daily vehicle output, with its third plant's daily production increasing to 1,060 units in August, according to local media reports. The automotive company is based in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, the capital city of Central China's Hubei province.

One of the major industrial groups in Hubei province, Dongfeng Honda's three factories in the WHDZ had resumed work and production and were operating at full capacity by late April.

At the time, officials said their overall production capacity had returned to more than 3,000 vehicles per day, and that a new car was rolling off the production line every 50 seconds on average.

In May, Dongfeng Honda continued to produce at full capacity, making 71,000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 16.4 percent, with the company's capacity utilization rate at close to 110 percent.

The daily production capacity of Dongfeng Honda's three plants exceeds 3,800 vehicles at present.
