Huali iSmartways Technology Inc, based in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, Central China’s Hubei province, hosted its third anniversary celebration on Aug 25, showcasing its development of intelligent transportation, according to local media reports.
In September 2019, the first phase of infrastructure in the National Intelligent Connected Vehicle (Wuhan) Test and Demonstration Zone was completed, with 28 kilometers of 5G autonomous driving test roads put into operation, becoming the country's largest 5G vehicle-road collaborative autonomous driving test demonstration zone.
The demonstration zone also issued the world's first commercial license for autonomous driving vehicles, putting Wuhan at the forefront of the world's autonomous driving commercial demonstration operations.
According to WHDZ officials, in recent years, WHDZ has focused on building an environment that cultivates innovation and entrepreneurial development, while vigorously developing emerging strategic industries, industrial internet big data and artificial intelligence. The zone has also accelerated industrial upgrading and high-quality development.
According to Ren Xuefeng, vice president of Huali iSmartways Technology Inc, through the company’s 5G V2X technology, smart travel will be achieved in the future. It is hoped that the company’s latest technological achievements can be promoted from the WHDZ to the whole country and even the world.
The event also witnessed the release of the company’s "1+3" strategy: "1" means 5G smart new infrastructure, and "3" stands for internationalization, specialization and marketization.
Huali iSmartways Technology Inc will actively carry out the construction of intelligent networked vehicles and intelligent networked roads. The company will also explore new applications for smart transportation in response to a range of scenarios and situations, including information-isolated islands and traffic congestion, using its technological accumulation and market experience advantages in the field of vehicle-road collaboration.
By building a smart road network to activate smart transportation data resources effectively, smart transportation will be realized and urban life will become more convenient.
