Wuhan to add Inspur's Central China headquarters

Inspur Group, one of China's leading cloud computing and big data service providers, is to set up its Central China headquarters in Wuhan, capital city of Central China’s Hubei province, following an agreement reached on Aug 22, according to local media reports.

Inspur officials said that Inspur will increase its investment in Wuhan, accelerate the implementation of the Inspur Central China headquarters in Wuhan, and deepen cooperation in the areas of industrial internet, cloud computing, and big data.

It will use informatization to promote the modernization of urban governance and help Wuhan's high-quality development.

According to the agreement, Inspur plans to invest 5 billion yuan ($725 million) in the Smart-Eco City in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone to build its Central China headquarters and R&D center in two phases.

The entire project covers an area of about 100 mu (6.67 hectares) and will include a cloud computing center, big data innovation research and development center, big data maker center and smart city as its core business, providing cloud computing, big data and other services both to Central China and nationally.

According to the development plan, Inspur Group will next set up a manufacturing center in Wuhan to realize the localization of its servers, storage, network, security and other cloud computing core equipment, and establish a complete R&D, production, and application industrial chain.
