The Tongji International Rehabilitation Medical Center is coming to the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, Central China’s Hubei province, with a cooperation agreement signed by the WHDZ and Tongji Hospital on Aug 24, according to local media reports.
The planned healthcare development will include the International Rehabilitation Medical Center, Rehabilitation Training Center, Rehabilitation Equipment Research Center and the Rehabilitation Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park.
The medical rehabilitation center, located in WHDZ’s Smart Eco-city, will boast 1,000 beds and integrate the most advanced research results into clinical practices while offering patients personalized and intelligent services throughout disease treatment.
At the same time, the center’s integrated transformation of production, education and research will drive the development of the rehabilitation equipment manufacturing industry.
The Rehabilitation Training Center and Rehabilitation Equipment Research Center will work with the WHO rehabilitation training and research cooperation center, while also establishing a teaching and training center and a rehabilitation resource center.
The Rehabilitation Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park will connect with medical device companies involved in manufacturing rehabilitation equipment.
The industrial park will also work to integrate the production, education, research and medical treatment fields with the International Rehabilitation Medicine Center and the Rehabilitation Equipment Research Center of Tongji Hospital to promote the rehabilitation equipment manufacturing industry.
