Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) is to boost its international business environment by accelerating the infrastructure improvement project at Jinse Gangwan community located in the zone, according to local media reports.
Established in 2006, Jinse Gangwan community is one of the earliest high-end commercial communities in the WHDZ. With a total area of 340,000 square meters, the housing development is home to 6,507 households and 16,000 residents.
During Jinse Gangwan’s peak period, there were more than 170 foreign households from the United States, France, Germany, Britain, Japan, South Korea and other countries living in the community.
In order to better serve foreigners, the community has set up bilingual street signs and produced helpful multilingual pocketbooks with information on consulates in Wuhan, hotels, foreign restaurants and tourist attractions.
In addition, the community has established an International Friends Home, which regularly organizes activities such as calligraphy, traditional Chinese painting and embroidery, and invites foreigners to make dumplings, taste mooncakes and watch theatrical performances during the holidays.
