The 12th China Automotive Bluebook Forum (CABF), a top domestic automotive industry forum, opened in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) -- in Wuhan, Central China’s Hubei province on Aug 11 -- according to WHDZ officials.

They said the three-day event, running from Aug 11 to 13, will host discussions on 23 topics in six major sectors: electrification, intelligence, digitalization, large design, operation and marketing.

Some 200 entrepreneurs, experts and scholars will be participating.

Officials said the CABF is currently one of the largest, highest-grade, most important and influential high-end dialogue platforms in the automotive industry in China, hosted by Auto Business Review.

The “four modernizations" concept in the global automotive industry was first proposed at the 7th CABF and has now become the industry consensus.

Last year, automobile production in the city of Wuhan reached 1.55 million vehicles, one of the highest levels in China.

Officials said Wuhan is actively making inroads in the new wave of competition in the world's automobile industry, as represented by new energy vehicles.
