Wuhan sports center indoor pool complex reopens for business

The Wuhan Sports Center Natatorium -- located in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ), in Wuhan city in Central China’s Hubei province -- reopened for business on July 15, according to WHDZ officials.

They said that in line with the coronavirus epidemic prevention and control requirements, the natatorium – a major indoor swimming pool complex – is dividing its opening hours into four periods and each period has a limit of 100 people.

According to staff members, every three hours constitutes a period. At the end of each period, the pool complex will be disinfected before the next period of operations.

There are a total of four lifeguards and three trainers at the swimming pool.

Officials said that in addition, the Wuhan Sports Center Soccer Park has been opened to the public. The sports center’s training hall and basketball gym are currently being upgraded and rebuilt. On completion, they will be reopened to the public according to the situation.
