Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Co -- the leading auto manufacturer based in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone in Wuhan city in China’s Central Hubei province -- recorded growth in market share in May and June, according to the WHDZ media center.
Founded in May 1992, Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Co is a car manufacturing joint venture funded by Dongfeng Motor Co and France-based Groupe PSA with a registered capital of 7 billion yuan ($1 billion).
The company has two brands, which are Dongfeng Peugeot and Dongfeng Citroen.
In May, Dongfeng Citroen’s regional market share in Wuhan increased by 24 percent month-on-month, a company spokesman said.
He said a total of 1,230 vehicles were sold in May to June and Dongfeng Peugeot's market share increased by 10 percent month-on-month.
