Dongfeng Motor Co -- a major auto manufacturer based in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone in Wuhan city in Central China's Hubei province -- has been making great efforts in expanding its market in the South American nation of Peru, with its car models promoted on Peru’s online platforms including NeoAut and Olx.
That’s according to the official WHDZ WeChat account which said that this was part of Dongfeng’s move to respond to the impact of the novel coronarivus pandemic, by promoting its car sales volumes globally.
Officials said that in response to difficulties in customer consultations and maintenance during the outbreak, Peruvian dealers launched an after-sales question and answer column on Facebook.
Peruvian dealers circulated knowledge to customers in the areas of vehicle cleaning, power supply maintenance, oil maintenance, tire and air conditioning maintenance, as well as providing online consultations, enhancing customer satisfaction.
Officials said a maintenance and rescue team was also formed to provide door-to-door services to solve problems caused by vehicles being parked for too long during the epidemic.
To help with global virus control efforts, the manufacturer is offering additional discounts and services to medics, police, military and other epidemic personnel who are fighting the coronavirus on the front line who purchase Dongfeng vehicles.
Officials added that a protective gift package -- including masks, gloves, disinfectant and other items for a car purchase and maintenance -- will also be provided.
