Three major projects covering areas such as auto parts and e-commerce platforms are to settle in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) -- located in Wuhan city in Central China’s Hubei province -- following agreements signed during a WHDZ investment promotions event held on June 12, according to local media reports.
The occasion, called the Special Event of Global 500 Fortune and Famous Foreign Companies Energizing Wuhan, saw the inking of the Wuhan Heda Automotive Interior Project, the Dongfeng Aiji Press Welding Project, the Miss Fresh Central and West China Headquarters Project.
Officials said Kasai Kogyo Co, Guangzhou Kasai, and Hainan Drinda Automotive Trim Co plan to invest in the establishment of Wuhan Heda Automotive Co in the WHDZ’s Automobile and Parts Industrial Park.
The company will be responsible for the production of car door interiors and sun visor interiors, supporting Dongfeng Nissan, Dongfeng Honda and other vehicle manufacturers.
Dongfeng Aiji Stamping & Welding Parts Co is to be established in the Advanced Manufacturing Industrial Zone of the WHDZ.
Based on the existing resources of Dongfeng Die & Stamping Technologies Co, Dongfeng Aiji Stamping & Welding Parts Co will bring in foreign capital, officials said.
It will strengthen technology research and development capabilities, introduce a foreign corporate on-site manufacturing QCD management system and further expand its product line to enhance market competitiveness.
Officials said the signing of the projects will further promote the industrial transformation and upgrading of the WHDZ.
They added that it will also help improve the quality and efficiency of the leading automotive industry in the zone and promote the high-quality development of the wider manufacturing industry.
