A total of 274 urban construction projects have confirmed for 2020 in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) -- in Wuhan city in Central China’s Hubei province -- with an annual investment of 28.6 billion yuan ($4.02 billion), according to the official WeChat account of the WHDZ.
Out of the total, 167 are new projects, with a planned investment of 15.89 billion yuan, including 97 urban transport, eight water facilities projects, 20 landscaping and 41 environmental hygiene projects.
Officials said that a total of 95 are ongoing projects, with a planned investment of 7.13 billion yuan, including 81 urban transport, five water facilities, three landscaping and six environmental hygiene projects.
The projects included the Zuo’an Avenue Phase I Project and the Wuhan Metro Line 16 Project.
The first phase project for Zuo’an Avenue has a total length of 47.83 kilometers, starting from Fenglin Sixth Road and ending at Chuanjiangchi Road, with a total investment of about 360 million yuan.
At present, the WHDZ is stepping up implementation of preliminary work such as land acquisition and storage, planning and design.
Officials said the work at Wuhan Metro Line 16 is now in full operation.
The main construction of the four stations including Mayinghe and Zhuankou stations has been completed and the construction of auxiliary structures is being accelerated.
