Mass nucleic acid test results available from May 22

Starting May 22, results from Wuhan city’s mass COVID-19 nucleic acid tests can be searched and checked online, according to a report in the Changjiang Daily.

Officials from the city in Central China's Hubei province, which was hit hard by the novel coronavirus outbreak, said there are two methods to access results online.

Residents who have undergone the nucleic acid test should enter an applet called Wuhan Zhanyi and check the test results under the Hubei Health Code.

Residents can otherwise log into the WeChat public account or WeChat applet called Health Wuhan, click "nucleic acid result query", add the person being queried and fill in personal identification information to get to the nucleic acid test results.

Last week, Wuhan started to expand nucleic acid tests in order to improve its search for the asymptomatic cases, or people who show no clear symptoms despite carrying the virus.

Generally, the test results will be available three days after sampling.

According to Wuhan Municipal Health Commission staff, due to the large amount of nucleic acid tests and collections across Wuhan city, the sampling and detection times in different areas are inconsistent.

They said that if there is a lag, please wait patiently.
