Located in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone -- in Wuhan city in Central China's Hubei province -- Houguanhu Greenway is about 110 kilometers in length and covers an area of 530 hectares.
The WHDZ greenway has special lanes for bicycling, measuring 130 kilometers and walking trails measuring 160 km.

The greenway is to be expanded and upgraded, with the Houguan Lake Shoreline Improvement and the Landscape Greenery Project currently underway.
In conjunction with its water environment management, the project will build a new high-level greenway with a length of about 5 km from Quanli Third Road to Fengshu Third Road.
The greenway will be built using first-class standards and is 6 meters wide. As a world-class greenway, it will boast an impressive range of features and be equipped with latest technologies -- including mobile internet, the internet of things and big data.
There will be a running track lit up by fluorescent lighting, as well as an autonomous driving experience station.
