Peng Hao, an official from the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) -- located in Wuhan city in Central China's Hubei province -- visited resident company Wuhan Construction on May 11, according to the official WeChat account of WHDZ.
According to Peng, the WHDZ will continue to support the development, innovation and reform of Wuhan Construction, as well as to deepen the cooperation with the company in the fields of smart construction and infrastructure construction.
Ying Zhigang, president of Wuhan Construction, gave an introduction on the work and production resumption of the company, as well as the company’s development and future directions.
Based in the WHDZ, Wuhan Construction is the first State-owned asset authorized operations unit in Wuhan city, a leading enterprise in the construction industry in Wuhan city and Hubei province.
In 2019, the company reported total output value of 14.2 billion yuan ($2 billion), a total operating income of 12.2 billion yuan and a total net profit of 312 million yuan, setting a record in the company’s development.
Since the novel coronavirus outbreak, the company has been making efforts in virus prevention and control, transforming hospital isolation wards, helping build Huoshenshan Hospital and pop-up temporary hospitals, as well as helping communities.
In early April, the company’s resumption of production in Hubei province reached 100 percent and in mid-April, its five major business segments had fully resumed production.
