Officials said a total of 231 WHDZ-based companies had completed resumption of work and output, with 179 being industrial enterprises above a designated scale.

On March 22, more than 80 workers had returned to their post at Electricfil Engine Components (Wuhan). The company’s main products include camshaft sensors, crankshaft sensors, speed sensors, sensor modules and other automotive engine and gearbox products.

At present, the company's daily production capacity is 35,000 pieces, taking its current output to nearly 60 percent of its normal production capacity.

In order to expand the return to work and production in the zone, the WHDZ has chartered special buses. For resident companies with employees living in suburban areas, the zone arranged buses for pick-up and has sent some 5,000 employees to their companies so far.

Employees are required to live in 2,390 dormitories arranged by the WHDZ with 7,122 beds.

In addition,, the zone has introduced 18 measures for enterprises. These are designed to reducing the burden on businesses, strengthen financial support, increase assistance to stabilize enterprises, strengthen industrial support and optimize government services.

Officials said more than 2 billion yuan in financial funds are expected to be issued to companies.
