The Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) -- in Wuhan city in China’s central Hubei province -- released a new recruitment policy and launched a new recruitment service called the Chedu (Auto City) Talent Card on Alipay, according to WHDZ officials.
They said that all kinds of outstanding people engaged in innovation and entrepreneurship events in the WHDZ, as well as students staying in Wuhan within five years of graduation, can apply for the Chedu Talent Card on Alipay to enjoy the high-quality services and preferential policies being offered by the zone.
The Chedu Talent Card has four levels: a diamond, platinum, gold and an elite card.
The content of services comprises 16 projects in 10 categories -- including the implementation of talent projects, industrial upgrades, housing security, transportation, medical care, children's education, spouse employment, elderly care services and physical fitness.
The diamond cards are issued to top domestic and international professionals, national industry leaders and people who are selected as Wuhan Huanghe Elites in the WHDZ.
Platinum cards are issued to industry leaders and Wuhan Huanghe Elites (Industry Leaders).
The gold cards are issued to those who are selected as Wuhan Huanghe Elites (Excellent Young Talent), Wuhan Craftsmen, young innovative talent, skilled industry talent, as well as top talent at home and abroad, national industry leaders and core members of the industry leader team, or WHDZ employees who hold a doctorate degree.
The elite cards are issued to university graduates who have found employment in the WHDZ within five years of graduation.
With the diamond card, for example, all high-end talents who hold the card will enjoy a fast track channel in areas including government services, children’s school enrollments, spouse employment and medical treatment, and can get a 2,000 yuan ($283) transport or vehicle maintenance subsidy every year.
If immediate family members are not employed temporarily, an employment subsidy of 3,000 yuan will be given each month for one year.
If parents live in the WHDZ, each elderly person will receive a subsidy of 20,000 yuan for old-age care or a helper service.
Officials said the talent can also enjoy 80 percent off activities at the Wuhan Sports Center including swimming and training sessions.
