WHDZ launches special buses for commuters

The Wuhan Bus Group is to launch 23 special buses designated for company employees in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ), starting on March 16, according to the official WeChat account of the WHDZ.

Officials said the buses will be regularly disinfected and in addition to the driver, a volunteer will be responsible for real-time management during the vehicle's operation.

The buses will picks up and drop off passengers according to the bus route and a designated time provided by companies.

Officials said WHDZ companies need to book a special bus one day in advance, giving details of the travel route, designated time and stops along the route.

A special bus can be booked when the number of passengers reaches 10. The upper usage limit for each bus is 50 percent of its seats.
