The Hannan Zhongbai Supermarket in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone -- also known as Hannan -- has been catering for bulk buying of food packages by residents in the 50 communities and villages in Hannan since the novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak, according to the official WeChat account of the WHDZ.

The supermarket has introduced a 10-yuan ($1.44) vegetable package targeting families with low incomes. So far, it has sold more than 5,000 of the vegetable packages.

Since February, the supermarket has launched a variety of combination packages in addition to the 10-yuan vegetable package.

These include a food package valued at 66 yuan per serving, a Jinlongyu cooking oil package valued at 66.9 yuan per serving and an egg package valued at 16 yuan (30 eggs).

Communities in Hannan are daily organizing bulk buying of the food packages. The supermarket sells some 2,800 packages to communities in Hannan on a daily basis.
