Two cabin hospitals located in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) closed on March 8, according to the official WeChat account of the WHDZ.

The Wuhan Sports Center cabin hospital and the Zhuankou cabin hospital were built to treat infected patients suffering from mild symptoms of the novel coronavirus pneumonia.

The Wuhan Sports Center cabin hospital has 1,100 beds, with 600 beds placed in the main gymnasium and 500 in the badminton training hall.

The 700 medical workers from hospitals in the WHDZ -- as well as from Anhui, Guizhou and Jiangsu provinces -- provided diagnosis and treatment for the patients, strictly following the diagnosis and treatment plan established for the virus.

Officials said that from its opening on Feb 12, the sports center hospital admitted 1,056 patients. The hospital reported zero deaths from patients. No medical staff members were infected and no cured patients showed symptoms of reinfection.

The Zhuankou cabin hospital has a capacity of 1,100 beds and medical workers from hospitals in the WHDZ -- as well as from Chongqing, Gansu and Heilongjiang -- provided diagnosis and treatment for patients.

Since its opening on Feb 17, that hospital received a total of 990 patients.
