Dongfeng Motor Company Limited -- the major auto manufacturer based in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) -- has been making great strides in the novel coronavirus pneumonia prevention and control, with supplies worth 82 million yuan ($11.71 million) donated to Central China's Hubei province, according to WHDZ officials.
On Feb 18, Dongfeng Motor Co donated 70 sets of epidemic prevention and disinfection machinery worth some 12 million yuan to Wuhan and Shiyan in Hubei to help with the epidemic control.
A company spokesman said it paying close attention to the changes in the epidemic situation and continues to donate funds and medical supplies.
As of Feb 18, the company, together with its subsidiaries, had donated a total of 51 million yuan and some 40,000 sets of medical supplies including medical masks, protective clothing and goggles to Hubei province.
