Updated: 2020-02-06

Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) has built mobile cabin hospitals to treat infected patients suffering from mild symptoms of the novel coronavirus, according to the official WeChat account of the WHDZ.

If a patient's condition worsens, he or she will be transferred to the Wuhan Union Hospital (West Campus).

The Wuhan Sports Center in the zone has converted its main gymnasium and badminton training hall into two mobile cabin hospitals.

The cabin hospitals have 1,100 beds, with 600 beds placed in the main gymnasium and 500 placed in the badminton training hall.

Construction and preparation work on the two cabin hospitals started on Feb 4. Officials said the two cabin hospitals officially opened on Feb 5.
