Since the recent coronavirus outbreak, the Power Supply Company and Water Supply Company of Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) has worked to ensure adequate supplies of power and water, with special priority given to medical institutions.
Zhuankou Power Supply Company has arranged for staff members to be on duty every day, checking power lines and cables on the West Campus of Union Hospital affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, as well as at Wuhan Asia Heart Hospital.

In order to provide concrete for the construction of Huoshenshan Hospital, special permission was given for normal power supplies to be resumed to the construction company responsible for the project.
Also, Hannan District Power Supply Company arranged six power maintenance personnel and two vehicles responsible for emergency repair work to help with maintaining supplies. At present, the power grid is reported to be operating normally.

Various water plants and pressurized stations affiliated to the Water Supply Company have established 13 emergency teams involving a total of 60 people to ensure plant and station operations, water quality monitoring, repair and maintenance, and pipeline inspections.
On Jan 29, the water supply volume in WHDZ was 217,845 metric tons. The Water Supply Company can provide 495,000 tons of water per day, which is enough to support daily demand.
