A total of 1,500 TV sets, air purifiers and monitors with a total value of 5.97 million yuan ($860,677) were donated on Jan 26 to Huoshenshan Hospital and Leishenshan Hospital in Wuhan, capital of central Hubei province, by Skyworth Group and Skywell New Energy Automobile Co.
After learning about the construction of the two makeshift hospitals – set up to handle coronavirus patients – the companies calculated the precise amount of equipment needed for the donation.
These included 1,000 Skyworth 50-inch TVs, 100 Skyworth 65-inch TVs and 400 air purifiers.
