The Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (also known as WHDZ) launched the Internet Industry Chamber of Commerce 2020-2025 Strategic Development Plan -- also known as the Hanyi Project -- on Jan 16, according to WHDZ officials.
According to the development plan, the WHDZ is to add more than 3,000 industry market entities and push to develop an additional industry there worth 100 billion yuan ($14.5 billion) by 2025.
The zone also plans to develop the industrial internet industry and build an industrial cloud platform, to promote the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries.
To achieve the goals, the zone is putting together detailed plans. Officials said it will carry out in-depth industrial coordination and industrial chain development, relying on corporate resident Dongfeng Motor's high-quality resources in the fields of the industrial internet, intelligent driving and new energy vehicles.
Officials said the WHDZ will support the innovation of small, medium and micro sized enterprises by increasing research and development support for tech-based companies and offering preferential policies.
They added that the zone will continue to make progress in training and recruitment, creating a high-quality employment environment and an investment and entrepreneurial atmosphere.
