Shanxi University signed a cooperation work agreement with Huazhong University of Science and Technology on Dec 23, according to SXU officials.
Officials said it involved specific cooperation in issues such as the development of academic disciplines, teacher and student training, scientific research and international cooperation.
Founded in 1952, Huazhong University of Science and Technology is a comprehensive research university that is located in Wuhan, in Central China’s Hubei province.
SXU officials said it has great advantages and rich experience in the construction of major national science and technology infrastructure platforms such as the National Optoelectronics Research Center, the Pulsed Magnetic Field Science Center, and the Precision Gravity Measurement Research Facility.
A signing ceremony of the agreement was held at Huazhong University of Science and Technology on Dec 23.
Witnessing the accord was Huang Guitian, principal of Shanxi University; Zhou Xiaoji, vice-principal of Shanxi University and senior staff from SXU’s Discipline Construction and Development Planning Office.
Also present, were SXU representatives from the Domestic Cooperation and Exchanges Department, the School of Computer and Information Technology and the Photoelectric Research Institute.
In addition, the Shanxi University delegation also paid a visit to the Engineering Practice Innovation Center of Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
