Songta Intellectual Property Management Wuhan Co located in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) recently, marking the first intellectual property operating agency operating in the zone, according to local media reports.
The Intellectual Property Working Center of the WHDZ and the company exchanged ideas on how the firm can better serve the industrial transformation and upgrading of the zone and the innovation and development of WHDZ-based companies.
Officials said it was hoped that the company would provide professional services for key enterprises, scientific research institutions and colleges and universities in the zone -- in terms of patent strategic layout, intellectual property transaction conversions, IP investment and financing.
In recent years, the WHDZ has actively cultivated the development of its IP service industry.
Officials said staff members of the Intellectual Property Working Center have visited IP service agencies in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, as well as those located in Hubei province.
The zone plans to introduce three to five IP service agencies within two years -- so as to promote the industrial transformation and upgrading and high-quality development of companies settled in the zone.
