An industrial interconnection and data security conference was held on Nov 27 in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone --- also known as the WHDZ -- according to the zone’s website.
The organizers said the conference aimed to establish a platform for communications and displays in the field.
It also aimed to accelerate the dissemination of the latest practical results in the area and expand the development of the industrial information security sector in the WHDZ.
Delegates at the conference analyzed the security challenges brought by the application of technology to the development of the industrial internet from 5G, digital factories, internet architecture, connected cars, and cloud digital.
The conference attendees also conducted in-depth discussions on enterprise industrial data management and security protection status.
They reached consensus that a close and interactive working mechanism should be established meet the needs of all parties, accelerate the application of 5G, blockchain and artificial intelligence technologies in the industrial internet field, so as to develop a network security defense line in the WHDZ.
