The Dongfeng Motor Corporation Technical Center, located in the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) has become a national-level industrial design center, according to a list recently released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
It is one of the five national-level industrial design centers in Central China’s Hubei province.
In 2015, Dongfeng Design Institute Co, a subsidiary of Dongfeng Motor Corporation, was selected in the second batch of national industrial design centers by the ministry.
National industrial design center refers to industrial design centers and industrial design enterprises recognized by the ministry as having strong industrial design innovation ability, distinctive characteristics, standardized management, outstanding performance and advanced development status. The selection of national industrial design centers is carried out once every two years, and the first batch was selected in 2013.
The Dongfeng Motor Corporation Technical Center is a national-level enterprise technology center recognized by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the Taxation Administration and the General Administration of Customs. It is a first-class scientific research institute recognized by the Ministry of Science and Technology.
