Sharing Box -- an unmanned vehicle smart logistics platform developed by Dongfeng Automobile Co -- drew masses of attention from visitors to the 2019 China International Commercial Vehicle Show in Wuhan, according to reports.
Staged at Wuhan International Expo Center in Wuhan in central Hubei province, the show provides a platform for commercial vehicle manufacturers to showcase intelligent, new energy and commercial vehicles -- that make the grade for the Limits and Measurement Methods for Emissions from Light-Duty Vehicles (China 6) standards.
Company representatives said Dongfeng Automobile takes the latest cutting-edge smart car and smart logistics technologies as an inflection point, to accelerate its transformation and upgrading. The company uses artificial intelligence, robotics and automation technology to achieve customized, efficient and unmanned logistics, as well as to create a smart logistics ecosystem.
Sharing Box, first launched on Sept 17, adopts cutting-edge technologies -- such as intelligent sensing, intelligent interconnections, intelligent decision-making and the V2X -- and combines scenario applications to provide smart logistics cooperation solutions.
The front of Sharing Box is shaped like a Peking Opera mask. The body is white and is covered with small cabinets. It is like a mobile courier. It uses a hidden LED strip design, which enables intelligent human-computer interactions through the linkage of lights, screens and voice.
Sharing Box employs cutting-edge technology to truly realize L4-class unmanned driving -- based on high-precision maps in specific scenarios -- and combined with 5G communications technology, real-time information monitoring and remote driving can be realized.
