Dongfeng Behr Thermal System Co -- or DBTS -- is a Sino-foreign joint venture established in 2004 by Dongfeng Motor Co and the former German Behr Group in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone, also known as the WEDZ.
The joint venture partners each hold 50 percent of the shares. During the course of its development, the two shareholders have changed their names to Dongfeng Motor Parts and Components Group and the Mahler-Behr Co.
DBTS is committed to providing its customers with a complete solution for a vehicle thermal system. It specializes in the development, manufacture and sale of cooling modules (heat sinks + intercoolers + condensers), air conditioning systems, temperature-controlled silicone oil fan clutch assemblies, electronically controlled silicone oil fan clutch assemblies and exhaust gas recirculation coolers for commercial vehicles and passenger cars.
The annual output of its commercial vehicle cooling systems and air conditioning system products has reached 300,000 units and 200,000 units, respectively. In addition, annual production of its passenger car cooling systems and air conditioning system products has hits 600,000 units and 500,000 units, respectively. The annual output of its motive silicone oil clutch fan assemblies is around 260,000 units.

The company obtained ISO TS16949 quality system certification in 2004, OHSMS18001 occupational health and safety management system certification in 2005 and was recognized as a Hubei high-tech enterprise in 2014.
