More than 2,300 students and teachers at Shamaoshan Primary School recently took part in a flash mob event in Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone to welcome the National Day, which falls on Oct 1.
A flash mob is a group who organizes to come together using smartphones or the internet, to surprise and amuse the public for a short time – in a spontaneous performance that can be dances, or singing.
During the activity, students and teachers created calligraphy works, danced and sang songs to express their love and praises for the motherland.
They also operate drones to carry Chinese couplets featuring their best wishes to the country.
This year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. A variety of celebrations, including folk performances and exhibitions, have been held in the zone.
