A total of 30 companies signed agreements to begin operating in the Tusincere Wuhan Sci-Tech Innovation Park in the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) on Sept 11.
Officials said that most of the companies are involved in hi-tech industries such as 5G chips, nanometer materials, medical equipment, and testing and inspection.
“Wuhan boasts great geological, medical, and educational resources,” said Ding Runze, chief operating officer of a China-Japan medical sci-tech innovation center.
He said the company plans to make Wuhan their home and gradually expand to other Tusincere parks nationwide.
Tusincere is a leading investor and operator of industrial parks in China and has its roots in the development center of the Tsinghua University Science Park (TusPark). It has established more than 40 innovative centers in over 20 cities across China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Tianjin, and Chongqing.
The park will focus mainly on new-generation vehicles, digital information, and intelligent manufacturing, according to Qi Yingjie, general manager of the park.
It will also develop a comprehensive service platform for innovation and startups, industrial financing, and intelligent management.
