An internet business chamber was established in the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) on Aug 23. A total of 54 local companies have signed up to join.
The chamber’s rules and regulations were announced at the founding ceremony. Wang Fei, secretary of the leading Party group of the Dongfeng Design Institute Co, was selected as chairman.
The WHDZ is home to a number of companies devoted to developing internet technology, and there has been a rising demand for a business chamber, officials said.
The chamber will serve as a bridge between the government and businesses and provide comprehensive services to certain businesses.
It will carry out a wide range of tasks, including training workers, collecting opinions, promoting exchange and cooperation, and formulating industrial standards.
