According to statistics released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the country sold 1.81 million cars in July, a year-on-year decline of 4.3 percent. Sales of passenger vehicles dropped 3.9 percent, while sales of commercial vehicles dropped 6.2 percent.
Meanwhile, sales of new cars by Dongfeng Motor Co based in the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone rose 16.6 percent to 267,500 vehicles.
