An assortment of promotional garbage sorting activities was recently held in the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province.

During one such activity held during the Qixi Festival (or Chinese Valentine’s Day) on Aug 7, people who shared a slogan and photo related to garbage sorting on their WeChat Moments were awarded a rose.

A total of 188 companies and government departments, 12 communities, 12 villages, 15 hotels, and four venues for the 2019 Military World Games located in the zone have been making efforts to engage in garbage sorting and recycling.

The zone aims to increase its garbage sorting rate to 60 percent by the end of 2019.
