Zhengzhou delegation visits WHDZ

A government delegation from Zhengzhou, capital of Henan province, visited the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, on July 4.

It was led by Wang Xinwei, mayor of Zhengzhou, and Hu Quan, chairman of the Standing Committee of the Zhengzhou Municipal People's Congress.

Hu Shuhua, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the Wuhan Municipal People's Congress, and Peng Hao, director of the administrative committee of the WHDZ, accompanied the delegation.

They visited the Wuhan industrial park of Gree Electric Appliances, the headquarters of Dongfeng Getrag Transmission Co Ltd, and the Tanghu cultural center for staff members in the WHDZ to learn about the zone's economy, ecology, and cultural environment.

Officials visited production lines and the control room at Gree's industrial park, as well as the manufacturing plants of Dongfeng Getrag, to learn about their achievements in technological innovation and independent research.

At the Tanghu Museum of Art, the delegation visited the ongoing calligraphy and painting exhibition themed around clean governance.

The zone impressed members of the delegation, who said that they will learn from the zone and use it as a model for achieving high-quality development in Henan province.
