A delegation from Jianghan University and representatives of the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, capital of Central China's Hubei province, met on July 3 in the WHDZ to discuss further cooperation.

The delegation was led by Li Qiang, Party chief of Jianghan University, and Zhang Xingping, president of the university.

Jianghan University is a key university of Wuhan and Hubei province. It is located in the WHDZ and has established a close relationship with the zone in areas such as professional training and technological research. The two sides signed cooperation agreements in 2009 and 2014.

Zhang explained the university's current situation and discussed some projects with attendees, such as the construction of the automobile racing school and the technological innovation project, as well as its preparations for a women's football team.

Peng said at the meeting that the zone will continue to offer its full support for the university's work in healthcare, culture, professional training, and more, and he expressed hope that more highly-skilled students would choose to work in the zone to boost local development.
