Seminar in WHDZ focuses on high-quality development

The Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, capital of Central China's Hubei province, held a seminar on June 30 to discuss how to achieve high-quality development.

Peng Hao, director of the zone's administrative committee, presided over the seminar, and Cheng Hong, dean of the Quality Development Strategy Research Institute of Wuhan University, was invited to the event.

Based on a thorough investigation, Cheng analyzed WHDZ's current development status and said that the zone must transform from a model of rapid development to high-quality development.

He also offered 10 suggestions to the zone, including establishing a mechanism for training highly-skilled professionals and accelerating industrial optimization and upgrading.

Peng said that the country must push for high-quality development, and that the WHDZ will listen to the professor's suggestions and accelerate high-quality development in the zone.
