WHDZ offers subsidized apartments to workers

Updated: 2019-07-02

Subsidized rental properties are now being offered to graduates coming to work in the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, capital of Central China's Hubei province, as part of a move to attract more professionals to the zone.

The zone signed cooperation agreements on June 26 with companies such as Lear Dongfeng Automotive Seating Co Ltd to offer subsidized rental properties to their employees.

WHDZ currently has five projects offering preferential rental housing to graduates, including the Keyu Apartments and Quanlinan Community, all of which are equipped with facilities such as libraries, gyms, laundry rooms, shared kitchens, and 24-hour supermarkets.

Quanlinan Community has reached agreements with more than 40 companies in the WHDZ, offering such services to around 10,000 people who plan to work or start companies in the zone.
