A delegation from Xianning city, Hubei province visited the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Hubei's capital city of Wuhan on June 13 to learn about the zone's manufacturing sector, particularly the automobile sector.
The delegation was led by Zeng Guoping, chairman of the Xianning committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and was received by Peng Hao, director of the administrative committee of the WHDZ.
With the changing global manufacturing structure, China has accelerated the transformation and development of its manufacturing sector.
Zeng noted that Xianning is currently preparing to develop an automobile industry to accelerate local industrial development, and the WHDZ is a famous automobile hub with an advanced automobile sector.
Zeng asked the zone to help Xianning improve its manufacturing sector.
Peng said that the WHDZ has one of the country’s most concentrated vehicle and auto parts industries, with four major vehicle companies and more than 50 national-level and provincial-level company research institutions.
The zone will cooperate with Xianning to develop its manufacturing industry, especially the automobile sector, Peng promised.
