A modern pentathlon test event for the 2019 Military World Games and the final of the 2019 national modern pentathlon championships opened at Wuhan Business University in the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, on June 4.
A total of 14 teams including 62 players participated in the competitions until June 6, including pistol shooting, fencing, swimming, horse riding, and running.
In addition, 233 working staff members and 624 volunteers participated in the test event.
The event serves as a test event for the 2019 Military World Games, which will be staged in October in Wuhan, and the modern pentathlon competitions will be held in the university.
Before the Games, a total of 38 test events will be conducted through all the venues in Wuhan from April to September.
