A delegation from Sunac China Holdings Limited visited the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province on May 9 to discuss cooperation.

The delegation was led by Wang Yingjia, CEO of Sunac, and welcomed by Peng Hao, director of the administrative committee of WHDZ.

Sunac was established in 2003 and went public in Hong Kong in 2010. It is involved in cultural tourism, real estate, hotels, and logistics services. In 2018, Sunac made 464.95 billion yuan ($67.31 billion) in annual sales, ranking fourth in the country for the second year in a row.

Peng explained the zone's social and economic development and highlighted its automobile industry, pointing out that the auto sector makes up over 85 percent of the zone's economy.

The zone is currently home to more than 20,000 companies, including a large number of high-tech companies, added Peng.

The director hoped that Sunac and the WHDZ would cooperate in the modern service sector in order to accelerate the zone's industrial upgrading.

Wang said that the zone is suitable for the development of leisure and service industries, and the two sides discussed cooperating to build central business districts, international conference centers, cultural holiday resorts, and an automobile museum.
