Pilots arrive in Wuhan for World Fly-in Expo

Updated: 2019-05-14

A number of pilots who will participate in the 2019 World Fly-in Expo (WFE) arrived at the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, capital of Hubei province, on May 6.

Zhao Wei is one such pilot and the only Chinese aerobat taking part in the event, which will be held at the Hannan General Aviation Airport in the WHDZ from May 18 to 21.

According to Zhao, he and other team members will assemble aircraft and carry out practice flights before the event.

Together with his team, Zhao participated in the first WFE in 2017, performing stunts such as rapid dives and rotations, which amazed onlookers.

This year, pilots will also perform aerobatic flights for visitors.
