The Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, held a job fair at Hubei Najie Square on April 24.
He Yusheng, director of the WHDZ's organization department, attended the event and promoted WHDZ to jobseekers.
A total of 134 companies from the WHDZ participated in the fair, offering 1,400 jobs to graduating students.
To entice more graduates to stay in Wuhan and work in the WHDZ, the zone has launched several preferential policies for housing and income.
Over the past year, 21,000 graduates from Wuhan universities and colleges decided to start businesses or work in the WHDZ.
More than 800 jobseekers pursued jobs at the fair, and 560 reached preliminary agreements with WHDZ companies.
