Around 4,000 people visited Longling Mountain Ecological Park in the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Central China's Hubei province, on March 30, to participate in a walking event.
The event was part of a series of activities to welcome the 7th Military World Games, which will be held in Wuhan from Oct 18 to 27. It also provided people with a great opportunity to explore beautiful scenery in the zone.
Participants walked a total of 10.5 kilometers, starting from the west gate of the park and journeying to Jiuquwan Wetland and the flower slope before looping back to the west gate.
A singing activity was also held during the event at the 60,000-square-meter flower slope that used to be a mine, drawing more than 300 people.
Professionals and amateurs alike sang songs such as Me and My Country and I Love You China to welcome the upcoming Military World Games.
