Hu Hongchun, secretary of the work committee of Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, met with a delegation from Hubei Federation of Chu Merchants on March 13, to discuss participating in Wuhan's first World Health Expo.
"Chu" usually refers to Hubei province and Hunan province.
The federation is organizing this year's expo, which is due to be held at Wuhan International Expo Center from April 7 to 10. The expo is set to showcase the latest products from the global healthcare industry.
Containing 12 exhibition areas, the event is likely to be attended by more than 4,000 exhibitors from all over the world and will include a number of forums due to be addressed by recognized experts.
After introducing development of the healthcare sector in the zone to the delegation, Hu said that WHDZ will participate in the event and seize the opportunity to further develop its healthcare industry.
Jian Hong, secretary-general of the federation, welcomed WHDZ's participation in the expo and promised to help promote some of the zone's key companies and projects to international visitors at the event.
